The Lore
What is the story behind AlfheimNFT?
The name “Alfheim” (Old Norse: Álfheimr), is derived from the Old Norse words for “elf” and “home,” and means “elf home” or “the home of the elves.” The vivid realm of Alfheim is decorated with an abundance of colorful flora and luminous fauna that glitter both the land and skies of the Elven realm. With architecture that rivals no other, the Elves' artistic skill is particularly shown in their unique sapphire-colored light crystals; fueled by the Light of Alfheim, they create bridges of solid light from the towering structures they’re plugged into. The Light of Alfheim is also where the Bifröst gets its power source to traverse the realms through Týr’s Temple. Though the Light of Alfheim covers the entirety of the Elven realm, the Light and Dark subraces have been at war for centuries, fighting for sole possession of it, with its ownership having changed masters back and forth more than 200 times. The Dark Elves, having had a difficult time defeating the Light Elves, decided that it was time for a change in leadership. With a new leader recently evolving within their ranks and three other powerful dark elves following his lead, they raised an army of 10,000, eager to turn the tides of war. The spies of the Light elves, noticing this sudden movement informed their side immediately. Soon enough, everyone knew: The great war was about to commence. The Light Elves prepared themselves, with the four high nobles taking the vanguard, they led the march/ they marched towards the battlefield, with the four high nobles taking the vanguard, steeling themselves for one last war. The fate of the Light of Alfheim rested on this war, but which side would conquer it, was not yet known.
